In this post you will find step by step instructions on How to make Paper Quilling Rose Card. Follow few steps and you would be able to create your own paper rose and decorate it on card. Create this lovely card for your love once.
For creating this card you need…
- 10 mm Red Quilling Strip
- 3mm Light Green, Dark Green and Red quilling strips
- Sky Blue Card Stock
- Slotted quilling tool
- Glue
- Curved Tweezer
Creating Paper Rose
Step 1
Take 10 mm quilling paper and cut the edge as shown in above image.
Step 2
Start Rolling the strip with a slotted tool. Make first fold to the strip as shown in the image and roll it.
Step 3
Continue the previous step, fold the strip and roll till the end of the strip.
Step 4
Take the rose out of the tool and allow it to unroll a little as shown in the first image of this step. Apply glue in between the layers of the rose and at the end of the strip. With this paper, rose is finished.
Creating Paper Scrolls
Step 5
Take a pair of dark green strips, light green strips and yellow strips of the same size. Glue all the strips on over another as shown. Order of the strips is, first – dark green, second – light green, third – yellow, fourth – yellow, fifth – light green and last – dark green.
Step 6 
Roll the same end of the strip with a slotted tool. Remove the coil from the tool (do not glue the coil before removing).
Step 7
Hold the coil in one hand and pull the strips one by one from another hand. Apply glue at the bottom of each strip and allow it to dry.
Step 8 
Now roll another side of the coil in opposite direction.
Creating Paper Loops
Step 9
Take a green strip and fold it creating a loop, apply glue on the strip, again create a small loop and glue it. Keep repeating the step of creating loops in descending order. Create 4 to 5 loops.
Step 10
Same as the previous step we have to create more loops but this time with two other color strips.
Creating Paper Leaf

Take yellow and green strips and glue them together. Start rolling the strip from yellow color as I want yellow to be the inner side of the coil. Later take the coil out of the tool without applying the glue. Allow the coil to unroll a little, after unrolling secure the coil by sticking the edge of the coil. Hold the coil in both the hands and pinch it to create the leaf-like shape. This shape is called Marquise shape.

Step 13
It’s time to glue all the element on the card. First take the contrast color strip and glue it on left and bottom of the side leaving some space followed by sticking all the roses. Now stick all the curves and loops on the card in such a way that it cover the major part of the card. Later glue all the leaves. I have also created small red coils and glued it over the curves. Thus our quilling rose card is completed.
